Costs of Therapy

Today is a very special time in cancer treatment with availability of so many treatment options but high cost of treatments including the surgery, radiation and chemotherapy can be overwhelming.  Most cancer centers have personnel who can explain costs and work out payment schedules and plans to have a person handle the expenses of treatment.  There are many agencies that can help with supports for fees as well including the American Cancer Society. New laws are in place that protect you if you can not work due to the complications of your treatment and you should check with your employer early on about what programs may exist that may be able to help you with coverage of time off with or without pay and supports that may be necessary to help you during the treatment phase.
